The Bear River


I told you the other day that I would be posting a picture of the river near where it empties into Little Traverse Bay. And here it is! In the top left corner of the picture, you see a glimpse of City Hall.

During the spawning time, this river is fun to watch as the salmon jump their way upstream through the rocks. Over on the other side of the bridge, there is a large pool where many fisherman find great catches.

Such a lovely scene! And salmon really still swim in it? Wow. I wish we took care of our rivers better here in Metro Manila. I don't think they've had any living thing since—I don't know, but definitely way before I was born!

I bet it's quite a sight watching the salmon make their way up the river...
