Almost Over....

at long last. I don't know about the rest of you, but this day seemed to take forever to get here. (Or maybe the fact that campaigns have been going on for 2 years!!) I am glad it is done. I was one of those who stood in the booth today as I voted and my pen hovered over the presidential dots for a long time. I couldn't decide which of the candidates I disliked the least. I finally chose a dot and filled it in. My vote was counted, but in the big picture, probably won't make much of a difference. But, I voted, and for that I am proud.

Be proud fo casting a vote. In th Uk the turn out gets lower each election, which is just so sad,

I am. I realize that the right to vote is precious, something not everyone in the world enjoys, so I feel a definite responsibility to exercise that right. How could I not, knowing that people have died to make this right available to me? I want to make sure that their memories are honored and that those who fight daily to protect our freedom both here and around the world know that they are honored and appreciated as well.

Christie, I'm glad it's over, too. I hope we can move forward now, together, as one nation. I'm proud of all of us for voting. Your vote does matter! You are so right about the responsibility and privilege. It's always important.
