Yes, in the United States, today is Flag Day. In Pennsylvania Park in Downtown Petoskey, there is a US flag near the war memorial.

"Louis" thanks you for visiting - and he was happy to see your Flag Day post! It's too fashionable in too many parts of the country to disparage the flag. How well "Louis" knows - he lives near The People's Republic of Berserkeley where flag burnings are still common and the savants that run the city wouldn't let the fire department fly the flag on city firetrucks in honor of the New York Fire Department after 9/11.
