Gingerbread, Gingerbread


Many of the homes in Bay View are Victorian in style, but I think this one wins the prize for most gingerbread! I've only seen about 1/2 of the homes there, but this is one of my favorites. I love the upstairs porch. (On another home, we saw a hammock in an upstairs porch like this--what a wonderful idea!!)

    It's the kind of house you just don't see in the UK with porches. Makes me think of real lemonade and long hot summer days. We don't get those either.

    This is really charming. Reminds me of some of the houses in DeKalb, IL where I grew up.
